View from the Opposition - Newcastle - away
|
Every game from now on is like a cup final. Newcastle embarrassed us (or rather we embarrassed ourselves) on the opening day, leaving us all thinking 'here we go again', but here we are, 4th and challenging for CL place.
Posters complain that the questions/answers are dull. Then why not ask some decent questions? Banter is always welcomed, of course, but some serious footballing ones would make it a more interesting read for all of us.
Anyway, fire away.

Could you not do some creative writing and just make up the replies?
I thought that was what usually happens anyway

I knew it would be a tall order finding one who could read and write.
Well done trying though.

What, all my research is going to waste?
What am I going to do with the knowledge that J. BRUCE scored the second ever goal in a football match in Newcastle now? (RS Weeks got the first one, in a 2-0 victory for Team A over their arch (well, only) rivals, Team B)

Thanks for all of your questions but unfortunately I've been let down by the forum I approached so won't have any Geordie wit to post.
I hope to resume it for the Chelsea game.

What do you like best - Newcastle West End's claret and blue striped shirt, or Newcastle East End's all red one?
If they hadn't United, Newcastle would be more colourful...

You last won a major domestic trophy in 1955 the Fa cup. Do you think you peaked too early?

Following an argument with a Geordie after a home game, he walked off with the warning "If you ever come to Newcastle, you'll shit yourself". Or words to that effect.
Due to my curious nature, I decided to travel to said mutant-infested cesspit a few months later. Much to my disappointment, I couldn't even squeeze out a pea-sized pellet.
Are all Geordies born liars and drama queens?

i went on a stag weekend to newcastle once, as our train pulled into the city centre they forced the stag to wear a sunderland shirt. we went for a few beers around the city centre without realising how seriously they take this shit. one particular pub they threatened to set fire to the shirt while he was still wearing it.
at the end of the day its football and these weirdos were acting like they had been mortally offended. football is all they have in their lives.
